Match Play That Takes You Places
Our teams compete across the Middlesex League in both summer and winter seasons, facing clubs nearby and as far afield as Highbury, Potters Bar, and Regent’s Park. We enter:
- Men’s, Ladies’, Mixed, and Veterans’ Teams
- Weekend Men’s Teams for singles matches
- The Middlesex Cup (mixed team of six)
- Junior Inter-Club Matches and Tournaments
Match Formats & Schedules:
- Summer Matches: 6:30 pm starts (weekday evenings) | 6 players (3 pairs)
- Winter Matches: 7:00 pm starts | 4 players (2 pairs)
- Veterans’ Matches: Weekend daytime with mixed and single-sex sets
Each player competes in four sets per match, followed by post-match food, drinks, and great company.
Match Fees:
- £7 for adults | £5 for juniors
This covers new balls, floodlights, and post-match refreshments. For home matches, we treat our guests to a drink, with additional bar costs often shared among the team.
Want to Join a Team?
We have an open approach to team selection and are always keen to welcome new players. Here’s how to get started:
- Reach Out: Contact our Club Captain, Men’s Captain, or Ladies’ Captain.
- Join In: You’ll be invited to a social session or team practice to find your competitive level.
- Get Matched: Captains will help place you in a squad that suits your skills and goals.
For juniors, our Head Coach is the main contact to guide young players into competitive matches.
Play to Win, Play for Fun
While we love to win—that’s part of the game—we focus on ensuring members play at a level where they can improve, compete confidently, and enjoy the challenge. We value both stable partnerships and fresh talent, meaning there’s always room for new players to shine.
Expect to get a couple of matches in your first season to find your rhythm, then it’s onwards and upwards from there!
